1st Day of Preschool
My baby is no more! Her first day of preschool was yesterday. She has been waiting for this day for a very long time. The girl was born for this. Her mother letting her go? Not so much. We had her registered for a preschool in our old neighborhood and then on Friday night I found out my neighbor just down the street had one vacant spot! So I jumped on the idea of being able to walk her to school instead of drive. And hey, it even worked out for her original preschool teacher who had a waiting list. There are seven kids in her class - five girls and two boys. One of the boys is in Abby's primary class and she smiles anytime I mention his name. :) Her teacher's name is Mrs. May:
Every day of school has a color theme. You wear the color somewhere on your outfit, they do a piece of art in that color, and they eat a snack in that color. On her first day, Abby wore her only shirt that has red in it, they crafted a slice of watermelon with construction paper, and they ate strawberries and red licorice. And she thoroughly enjoyed every single bit of it!

And her brother just didn't know what to do with himself after she left! They sure had a cute reunion when she got home though!

Just an FYI: your blog is hard for me to read because the color of the words are hard to see on the left side. I really want to read about the first day of preschool though. ;)

Can your baby really be starting school? She is such a darling little girl. I love her Hello, Kitty backpack and shirt. It is so fun that Hello, Kitty is coming back so strong now. My girls both loved it when they were young.
LOVE the shirt, backpack and anything Hello Kitty! Amy and I are the biggest fans too! That is a darling "color of the day" idea!
