To start things off right, I really wanted to take the kids to a matinee. So Matt got off a bit early Friday and we went to see Rango! Abby was a bit scared in some parts and Rett could care less with what the show was about. All he wanted to do was eat popcorn and treats and walk the isle. After the movie we went to Five Guys and then home to get the tired kids to bed.

Saturday morning, they let me start my big day with a long run with a friend and then surprised me with breakfast of homemade muffins. We laid low for a few hours and then took the kids to my friend Becky's house while Matt and I went out. We did sealings at the temple and then had dinner at The Painted Pony. Mmmm. We got home and ate a delicious cake that Abby helped Matt make and had fun blowing out my one and only candle. :)

After lots of chocolate, Rett went to bed, and Abby and I made popcorn while we all three watched one of my all-time favorites Dan in Real Life.

Thanks to everyone for your calls/texts/cards! You make it so easy to get older.


It might as well have been a celebration for Rett since a #2 candle was the only cake-legit one we had lying around.
