Sisters Trip

Last December, Jen sent all the sisters and Mom an email telling us all that she's had enough! And that we need to all get away from our daily routines and just be together. Something different than the typical summer trip to Grandma's in Utah. A trip without our combined 20+ kids. So she invited us all to her place over President's Day weekend in February and we were to make plans right then!

Almost immediately after Jen's email came one from Dad that said, "Santa would love to see you all get together. Make your plans and he will pay for the tickets. Love, Santa"

Wow. Now filled with gratitude and excitement, the trip-planning adventure began. And before we all knew it, the time had come. And oh we had so much fun. Why do these things always have to go by so quickly?

Jen did such a fabulous job of capturing the few days we had together that I decided to add her blog link for picture viewing:

Just a few of my favorite highlights:
Riding the metro into D.C. and all the talks during car drives
Getting stuck in the parking lot :)
Visiting the Art and American History Smithsonian Museums
Eating at fun places and cooking together in Jen's kitchen
Staying up (way too late) talking, giggling, watching movies, painting nails (thanks Liv!), etc.
Jogging on those rolling Virginia hills!
Playing soccer in the back yard with Liv, McKenna, and Jaxon
Cheering Jax on at his bball game
Visiting antique shops and trying on old lady hats and coats
Complimenting each other around the dinner table with "one word" game
Stuffing our mouths with yummy fondue
Oatmeal masks
Shopping at the mall and outlet stores
Making crafts after church on Sunday

I love my sisters (and mom and sister-in-law Hillary who I consider a sister)!!! Thank you to everyone who made this trip possible and for you all being so great. Good memories that will never be forgotten.

And thanks to Matt for watching our cute kiddos THREE DAYS STRAIGHT and my in-laws for making the trip down to watch the kids as well. Would not be possible without all the help and support so THANK YOU! Geesh I sound like I've just won a grammy. :)

P.S. Ladies - ya'll really need to work on the pucker-up-pose. Hahaha

P.S.S. Just had to add one more pic:

Thanks Heather for capturing one of my most favorite parts of the trip - playing soccer with McKenna, Olivia, and Jaxon. So much fun, just wish the game could have kept going!
