Cjane in town!
Everyday (just about), I check yahoo.com, blogger.com, nieniedialigues.blogspot.com, and cjrun.blogspot.com. That's it. So when I heard that Cjane HERSELF was not only coming to Southern Utah, but that she was coming to the Washington City Recreation Center - just about three miles from my home - I was very excited.
Thinking there would be a hundred or so at this event, I got there early only to find no sign of Cjane. After walking the halls, I finally asked the front desk. After they directed me where to go, I walked into this little room where Cjane, her sis-in-law and husband were quietly waiting for the crowd to show. I walked in and said, "Where in the heck is everyone?!" Cjane excitedly stood up and gave me a big hug and said, "Welcome!" with her crooked smile that I love so much. (By the way, she really does have a lisp ;)). I then proceeded to tell her my life story (well, just the fact that I read her blog more than her sister Stephanie's and that I myself have five sisters who all love her). After a brief initial visit, people finally started to shuffle in, so I had a nice little chat with her husband Christopher... aka Chup.
The night was a lot of fun... just sitting and listening to Cjane and others read all different kinds of posts - funny, serious, sad, even political. Afterwards, we took some group shots and ate the most divine cupcakes I have ever had. In fact, just before preparing this post, I emailed the woman who made them and told her my birthday is coming up and I would love to have my cake made by her.
After pictures, I pulled Cjane aside and we talked some more. We talked about blogs, sisters, her relationship with Stephanie, what it was like after the accident, etc. Very fun night. Wish all you Cjane lovers (Ash!) could have been there with me. She is as true as the person we read about every day. And I'm so glad we hit it off like I'd hoped. She's really cool. I hope she remembers me. She should since I was the only one wearing workout apparel for the entire two-hour reading event! A bit embarrassing. Oh well... I didn't feel as guilty leaving with two cupcakes.

Can you believe I had the self-control to save this for when I got home? Seriously the most amazingly delicious chocolate/peanut butter combo treat I have ever had in my entire life. And I've had a lot of those two.
