Octoberness

Ahh we love this month here in So. Utah. Most days, it's cool enough to go for a mid-day walk outside or maybe wear a pair of jeans at night. In addition to Abby's 4th birthday celebrations, we've enjoyed other things about October as well:

Abby got a Super Why coloring book recently and has had fun coloring then cutting out some of the character's objects.

Abby had a little "friend get-together" in the garage while I cleaned the car and Rett napped.

This kid loves to eat dirt and rocks every chance he gets. He ran to the backyard faster than we noticed he was gone and was not happy when we stopped him in the act.

We've been teaching Abby how to play Twinkle, Twinkle and she can do it on her own without any help! Next song: Mary Had a Little Lamb.

These two love to play together... until Abby takes Rett's binks. That's a BIG no-no!

Friday night dinner of pizza and salad on the back porch. Dad was thoughtful to surprise us so Mom wouldn't have to cook!
The movie Oklahoma! came in the mail Friday. We watched it that night, and no kidding, Abby has asked to watch it SIX times since. She can't get enough of the show. I think it's all the dancing she especially loves.

I found her here watching it on Saturday morning. What would she do without her little DVD player?!

And then here while Matt cleaned the other car. I love how she even decided to put her seatbelt on.

Notice how her bear is in the driver's seat?

And Rett played in the back of the car listening to country tunes while Dad washed the car. (I was in Hurricane playing in a city league basketball game).

More dancing in the tutu!

Trying to distract Dad while the football game was on! Gotta love college football season.

Saturday night we got invited to some friend's house for tin foil dinners. It was fun to meet some new people and enjoy yummy carameled apples and s'mores for dessert.

My good friend Becky who hosted the party.

And... he's out. Dad looked like he was about out in the picture above.

The two munchkins watching Super Why together. Love these moments... doesn't get much better than this.
This week we went to the park and it was Rett's first time being stroller free (at the park). He LOVED every second of it and was absolutely fearless. He didn't let anything stop him from climbing to sliding. He was so sweaty by the time we left that Abby and I had fun making a mohawk with his hair. Afterwards we washed the car while Rett slept and then brought churros home from Costco. Yummy.

seeing these cute pics of Abby and Rett remind me so much of Jaxon and Olivia when they were little. You know...the good ol' days when they adored each other?
hey, is that a boat in your backyard? LOL--kidding.

You captured some great moments Ang! I just noticed that you guys wash your car A LOT. Haha, that's funny. I like a clean car too though. Anyway, love all the pics of your cute kids and Abby has quite the personality. I'm so excited to get to see you guys in a couple months.
