Business Trip
Matt had to work in SL Friday so we made a quick family trip of it! Thursday night we met up with G & G and Hill and her kids at Cafe Rio for dinner and then on to THE DOLLAR STORE! Each kid got to spent $2. Abby got a princess coloring book and Ring Pops. Thanks Grandpa! Such a fun tradition to do after dinner.
Yep... he's walking like crazy!
On Friday night, Mom and I went to Lars Larsen's wedding reception so Dad stayed home with Rett and Dad took Abby ice skating! (something she's been asking to do for weeks!). She was excited at first and thought the ice skates felt kind of weird/cool...
..and then suddenly got a bit nervous
but she thought this kid was kind of cute:
The finally decided to give her a helper:
and then she was simply done. Tired of trying... so they packed up and went to Pace's Dairy Ann for another cool treat.
On Saturday, Matt and I took Dad to the BYU vs. Nevada football game at Cougar Stadium. Not the best game (Cougars lost with a brand new QB) but we still had fun chatting, laughing, and of course, eating!
This picture doesn't do this scene justice. As we were walking out of the game we looked over the edge to see this. Even though they lost, the band left with pride and glory. It was awesome... totally gave me the chills!
We met up with Mom and the kids (thank you SO much for watching them!! And cousin Brookey. Thanks Natalie for letting them all hang out at your place!) at Wendy's for a quick bite before the Ekins headed home to George. 
Rett was ready for a good sleep after some hard core playing with GG! Thanks Mom and Dad for a short but fun trip! We love you guys.

Abby fell asleep watching her new Tinkerbell movie that Grandma gave for an early b-day gift all snuggled up in the quilt I bought from cousin Kathy this summer that Mom bound for me. Thank you Mom for that too! What would we do without you?!

Good report of the weekend! We were so happy to have you come and are so glad that you live closer so that we can see Rett and Abby more. They are such good (and darling) little kids. I had a great time spending time with them while you went to the BYU game.
Short and quick trip, but wow! What a fun time you guys had. I can't believe Rett is walking!! That kid cracks me up, and abby ice skating, that last pic of her crying made me laugh (sorry). I love that Matt caught those photos. And also, I love how Dad watched Rett and you guys took him to the ByU game. SO fun.
