Springdale/Orderville Hike in Zion's
Two weekends ago Matt hiked Orderville in Zion's National Park with a friend and two of his friend's family members. Orderville is a slot canyon much like The Narrows, only it takes about 10 hours to complete instead of 12. A lot of hiking is done in the water and there are places where it's necessary to repel. Since Matt had to be there early to pick up their hike permits, we decided to make a quick family trip of it. We got into Springdale early Friday afternoon and picked up some hiking gear, enjoyed walking the streets, eating at our favorite Oscar's, and getting candy/ice cream at the candy store. We got back to the hotel and swam for a bit and then watched tv and ate popcorn.
Matt got up early the next morning for his hike so the kids and I packed/loaded up, ate breakfast at the hotel, and headed back home. The rest of the day was just like any other, but we were especially glad to see Dad return safely.
Abby found this bag in the hotel bathroom and decided to put Elmo in it so he could be like Ariel from Little Mermaid.
The hike begins...
