Weekend-O-FUN!
Have you ever heard of Springdale, Utah? I had not until Matt took me there this past weekend. I really wish I would have listened to him sooner about taking a trip there because it was the coolest little town ever! It's at the south entrance to Zions and reminds me a lot of Jackson Hole/Sun Valley. Lots of fun lodges, bed-n-breakfasts, shops, eatery's, etc. And only 50 minutes away from home! I think we'll be taking a lot more trips to this quaint little town.
For our date night, Matt took me to see an Imax film on Mummies - one of his latest interests. We were the ONLY ones in the entire theatre... well, at least for the first 10 minutes. Afterwards, we ate dinner at a fresh Mexican grill. They were right - everything was fresh! So tasty. I loved everything from the homemade salsa and chips, to Matt's Horchata (Mexican drink of milk, rice, and cinnamon), to my delicious salad.
My friend Janet was great to watch Abby for the whole four hours. She has a little girl Abby's age and they have a lot of fun together.
In Springdale, we saw a Texas Longhorn, buffalo, and a huge elk! I love living in the Wild West!
On Saturday night, we went to the St. George Rodeo with Matt's sister Natalie and her two youngest. Yeehaw. I don't know who enjoyed the night more - Abby or myself. I think we've got another wanna-be cowgirl on our hands!
My mouth was full of dill pickle Spitz! If you haven't tried these yet, you must. My favorite seed yet!
Her favorite part of the night was the bulls!
On Monday, I found Abby wiping her baby's bum with wetwipes and then she asked me to put a diaper on Baby.

Okay first of all is abby not the cutest girl ever? Seriously Ang, everything from her little tan legs up to her blonde hair, I LOVE her smile and teeth. THe other night I got really sad thinking about her bite, it just broke my heart. man, I do you think I'm gonna be too protective or what?

Abby is adorable! Isn't it fun being a mom? I loved your story about the babysitter. We used to do that in San Diego, only the parents were going to the L.A. temple and we were there for 8 hours of free sitting...I never did it with the right spirit! I am glad there are great kids out there...you were one of them too!
