Our Little Girl is SIX!
I can't believe my baby is six years old! Going on 16 some days.:) She was so excited to celebrate her birthday that I let her go free and plan the whole thing! At 33 weeks pregnant, I loved how simple her idea of a celebration was. She really made it easy for me!
Every day, I feel so lucky to be this special little girl's mom. She's smart, kind, beautiful (in and out), sensitive to others around her, and a great big sister. I'm excited to have her as my second hand for the baby. She will always be my sidekick and companion wherever we go. I love you Abigail Joy!
On Saturday (the day before her official birthday) her cousin Aubrey was in town. She spent the afternoon at our house and we later went to The Pizza Factory for dinner. Abby LOVES their breadsticks!
After saying goodbye to Aubrey, just our little family headed to Fiesta Fun!

Rett was barely tall enough to ride alone and it was pretty funny watching him. He was very cautious not to ride too close to the edge so he ended up going REALLY slow. The guy working the ride decided to help him out a bit.:)
On her actual birthday (Sunday) I told Abby I would make her ANYTHING she'd like for breakfast. What did she request? A maple bar donut! So we did just that... along with six candles for her to blow out.
And then on Monday after school, Abby had four of her close friends over for a "water party." Crazy we can still do a water party in the middle of October! All she wanted to do with her friends was jump on the trampoline with the sprinkler, do the slip 'n slide, eat Swiss Rolls and drink pink lemonade, and play "Simon Says" and "Red Light, Green Light." Oh, and she wanted her friends to leave her party with a water gun. So we did all of that AND eat her favorite pizza (Costco cheese).

Happy birthday to your beautiful little Abby. It looks like she has had a special six-year-old birthday for sure. She truly is a pretty little girl inside and out like you said and I'm sure much of that comes from the love she has been given by you and your sweet husband.

Ang, I love that you let her plan and i love all her requested details...a doughnut and leaving with a watergun were my favorite requests. Such a sweet girl she is! And yes you are so right when you wrote about her being sensitive to others feelings...the best quality I think! I'm so sorry I missed her birthday, I never like missing birthdays...so please give her a big hug for me. What a good day she had!
That's hard to believe that Abigail Joy is six years old already! She truly has been a joy to all of her family, including Grandpa and me. You and Matt are such great parents; you fulfilled all of her wishes on her special day. We can't wait to see you again and take Abby and Rett birthday shopping. Who would have thought it would be so long in getting together.
