Park slides, black eye, and shoes...

Abby is IN LOVE with slides these days. She can't get enough! And I love the parks with easy on, easy off access. Last week we went to the park with a few friends.

And then the worst thing EVER happened (thus far) to me as a parent. Yes, my child has a black eye. Abby went to sit down on a bed pillow, lost her balance, fell off, and hit her head on the side table. These pictures are from the day it happened. It's a bit more black and blue today. :(
Shortly after it happened, all she wanted was her backpack that Grandma J. gave her. So she decided to wear it for the next hour while she watched cartoons.


Abby is becoming a great little help around the house. When I ask her to go and get her shoes or to put them away, she goes to the right place every time. This picture is when she couldn't decide which shoes she wanted to wear. My friend just passed on a bunch of clothes (shoes included) and so it makes it harder these days to decide which ones to wear, versus before when she had only two pair to choose from.


I just liked the look on her face when I took this picture. Just hanging out in her little library!
