Happy Father's Day
This is what Matt did for almost the entire day yesterday:
My pictures are out of order, but he jumped with the kids on the trampoline (with the sprinkler on), then took them to the park next door to slip-in-slide (yes Rett insisted on wearing his underwear so then Abby wanted to wear a pair of his too!), then off to the river to play in the water, and THEN to the Rec center to swim. Mind you, it was 102 degrees yesterday so the day was all about WATER! But the fact that he did it makes him one of THE best dads in this world. And one of the best husbands because he let me take the day to play catch up.
MY dad came to visit this past week. He and Mom brought more furniture down to their second home and we had fun helping them get "moved in." Dad is always great to take time to play and wrestle with the kids. They adore him and I'm grateful to have him in their lives. And mine.
Abby dancing to the music from "White Christmas" on Grandma and Grandpa's new television. Yep, she picked the movie.
Dinner on their last night at Texas Roadhouse. It's the only place we can go where Rett's noise will be somewhat muffled.
Happy Father's Day to all the wonderful dad's out there! But especially to the one who raised me, the one who raised Matt, and the one raising my kids! We are so blessed to have such great men in our lives.

Matt is awesome! To spend an entire day like he did is so great of him...love Abby's undies (like mother like daughter right!) and how fun to get to spend time with mom and dad....just a little jealous there...some day hopefully!
Your two children are just darling and I loved the photo of Rett beaming from ear to ear with Doug and Joyce. It looks like you have a little dancer in the family with Abby. We are also thrilled with the exciting news of a third little Ekins on the way. Congratulations!!
