November

October flew by so fast! But I think November flew by even faster!! Here are a few things we were up to during Turkey Month:

Lately, Rett has found our bed a bit too comfy in the wee hours of the morning... so if Mom and Dad seem tired lately he's our reason!

I finally finished the birthday banner we started during the Garner Girl's trip back in February!

Smoothie time! Dad makes the world's best (with hidden spinach leaves!).

A new park was just completed near our house and it has it's own fishing pond! So Matt took Abby on a little Saturday Daddy-Daughter date to do some fishing. Even though they came away empty-handed, they still had fun together!

I probably shouldn't be posting this picture, but lately these two love to dress as "Underwear Monsters"! It's a good laugh every time.

Thanksgiving this year was a bit untraditional but quite memorable. We decided to stay home and do our own thing. Our plans were to eat at Chuck-a-Rama and then come home to homemade pies. Lets just say I'm grateful I made the pies because when we pulled up to Chuck's the line was crazy long! Our jaws dropped and then we laughed on the way home. So we settled with finger food the rest of the night... crackers/cheese/meat, carrots and dip, Henry Weinhart's from the bottle, nuts, etc. It was good enough for us! We did go to Chuck's the next day because we were sort of missing our turkey!

Abby and Matt helped with peeling the apples for the pie.

Of course you have to include a nap on the big day, turkey or no turkey!

I love how much these two love each other.

Frosted pumpkin spice cookies, apple pie, and pumpkin chiffon pie (with Grandma Nickle's yummy pie crust)

Happy Holidays! Next post: December!

Abby looks darling in her fishing gear outfit! That's so funny how Rett smiles with one eye closed. Sorry about your Thanksgiving, but it looks like you made it a positive experience.

What fun pictures...we can relate with the early morning bed snatchers...Cohen thinks our bed is much more desirable! That's so fun to have a pond like that so close! The underwear monsters are hilarious!
