Nine Year Celebration

We decided to keep the anniversary festivities "local" this year - considering there is so much to do in and around St. George. I'm so grateful my sweet, awesome cousin Kali lives close by and that she was so willing to take my kids for almost two full days! Thank you so much again Kal! The kids spent most of the time at her place holding Baby Viv, swimming at family's, and watching cartoons/movies. Among other things they did, the kids didn't seem to miss Mom and Dad.

Abby couldn't get enough "holding time" with Viv. Luckily she is so dang tiny that Abby can manage just fine to hold her! Kali was great to let her too.

We started the weekend off with an entire day at Sand Hollow Reservoir with a waverunner rental! It was so much fun. I packed a cooler full of our favorite treats and drinks (Henry Weinharts Root Beer and Orange Cream, fresh pinneapple salsa and chips and oriental chicken salad from Harmon's, cheese and crackers, strawberry wafers, Gardetto's, and Cracked Pepper Spitz), we each picked out our own magazine (National Geo for Matt, Glamour for me), and just chilled on the beach in between waverunner rides. Matt was a blast to ride with that I even came back after a short five minute solo ride just to pick him up! We laughed so hard and just had the time of our lives. We even did some cliff jumping. So fun.

On our way to the lake with waverunner in tow!

Getting every last drop of his HW's

I love this picture of Matt's attempted dive :)

And then I'm a wimp and plug my nose!

After finishing up at the lake, we headed here...

and were sick of all those fries! But oh so good.

The next morning... oh we missed these two so much.

This was about the only waverunning they were going to do before returning it to the shop:

They seemed as content as ever.

After dropping off the kids again at Kali's, we headed to Toquerville Falls - a hike about 25 miles north of us. It was beautiful! A mini version of The Subway. You definately get wet - a hike not suitable for little ones. Most of the hike is walking upstream and then right next to waterfalls.

Matt is always great to carry plenty of water for both of us... thank you!

You guys are soooo cute, and you can tell you are completely in LOVE! What a fun two day get away. Way to be creative and find things to do just outside your door (as long as you are with your man, anything is fun, right!!) I think I need to find that chicken salad you are talking about for your picnic, as well as the pineapple salsa, YUM!
