The New Year - Everett Matthew

Oh how I love this little boy. I never thought I'd have a son who was so loving and affectionate as he is. He loves to give me hugs around my neck and will do so without me ever asking. His latest thing is to pucker-up and kiss on the lips. Aside from that, he's 100% boy. He is all over the place! Gets in to anything and everything, can out-eat his older sister, and doesn't care who's looking while he picks his nose (it's pretty cute to watch him try to blow his nose). And yet he loves to play with pots and pans and wear his sister's hair bows and things around his neck.

His one-word vocabulary is Mama. It also means "Grandma" and "give me right now." He will eat just about anything, except most meat unless it's chicken nuggets from McD's or Wendy's. And he doesn't care as much about vegetables as his sister did at this age. Dang it. Oh well, he can down an entire banana faster than anyone else I know and he loves apples and apple juice.

The other day he was playing in the backyard with Holland and Abby and he came inside at three different times showing me he had dirt on his one finger. He wanted me to wash it off. Even though he's all boy and doesn't have a problem getting dirty, at least he recognizes when he is dirty. That's my boy alright!

He's a "piano hog". I really don't play the piano as much as I'd like only because he won't let me share the keyboard with him.

Oh, and did I mention he LOVES the park?! He has no fear whatsoever when it comes to the "big" slides.

Prepare your eyes for this next picture:

I decided to buzz his hair TODAY. At first, I was sad to see it all go. But then I saw how cute he looked and wondered why I didn't do it sooner!

He managed to get in the smallest places if it means getting what he wants!

He did this today all by himself. Climbed up on to the couch and put a blanket over him while watching t.v.

This look means, "Mom, put the camera down and get me outta here!"

Gotta love Matt's face in this picture. I couldn't help but post it because of the look on Rett's!

Smack! (Notice the goggles around his neck? For some reason, this kid loves to wear them around the house like a necklace).
Good times. As much work as it is to keep up with this little guy, I'm in Heaven...
Every. Single. Day.

That is definitely the haircut for Rett--he looks even more darling!!! Seeing those pictures makes me miss him even more, especially his hugs and pats. Tell him Grandma Joyce misses him.

That kid is one of a kind Ang, so cute and just the funniest little stinker. His hair looks so cute. I love how you wrote about your kids. Also, Hattie remember Abby very well and will mention her name and she'll say "cereal." Remember how they ate cereal together? Anyway, kindof cute.

I love Rett's little pucker lips! I would have melted if any of my boys would have done that! Live it up, but maybe he'll love you so much, he'll do it even when he is older!! Darling little dude!
