Snow Canyon Half Marathon

Saturday a few good friends (including two husbands) ran the Snow Canyon Half. The course was beautiful. Breathtaking at one point just as we began the descent into the park itself. We've been training since August and it paid off. All but one made it in under two hours! Granted, a lot of the course was downhill. But there were some steep climbs as well. A big "Thank You" to these girls for motivating me to run in the early mornings and for convincing me that I could totally do this.

Me with Becky, Kacey, and Andrea H.

Matt and I ran the first 7.5 miles and last 2 miles together. We kind of lost each other somewhere in the middle. But he was a great motivator. It took us back to the first and only other half we did in May 2008 (Indianapolis). This race wasn't quite as emotional as we crossed the finish line with that one ending in front of the Law School building.
And we knew we were moving on to the next phase in life.

Finish time: 1:59:33.

Does this mean we're entering a new phase in life?
Either way, I hope it's not 2 1/2 years before we run our next half marathon.
