Grandma Joyce and Papa Doug Visit

Rett had fun exploring all different kinds of food at ole Chuck's. In this picture he loved going back and forth between a dill pickle and a sweet pickle. Couldn't quite decide which one he liked better.

When Abby saw that Grandpa had a toothpick she just had to have one as well. Grandpa gave her a dollar to go to the dollar store - an after-Chuck's tradition.

On Saturday, we headed up to Springdale - the town just before the south entrance to Zion's. Mom and Dad took us to one of our favorite restaurants there to celebrate Matt's b-day. Thank you so much!

Dad and Matt got Oscar's famous ribs... mmm!

We had fun walking around to all the little shops. Abby enjoyed a shop with all different kinds of wind chimes.
On our way home, Matt suggested we stop at Grafton - an old ghost town - for a bit of history (he knows what his MIL likes). It was quite fascinating. The drive out there on a dirt road in Dad's big truck was especially fun. Thanks to her grandpas, Abby really wants a truck!

This old schoolhouse/church, has been used in films like Butch Cassidy and The Sundance Kid.

The house in this picture was last occupied in 1945... just four years before these two were born!

Just a cool log home they wouldn't let us inside the gates.

Back at home...

Abby loves to work with Dad in the garden!

We had a big breakfast including pancakes both mornings and this kid LOVED him some pancakes!

Yes, this is how he fell asleep...

Like father like son. These two can fall asleep in any position.
Thanks Grandma Joyce and Papa Doug for a fabulous weekend! We had so much fun with you both and can't wait for next time!
