Abby Time
I didn't realize before little Everett came to us how hard a change it would be on his big sister. As much as she has loved having him around, it has been difficult to get used to sharing the attention with someone else. So one more challenge for me right now is to remember the importance of recognizing HER and making her feel just as wonderful as I did before. She is a special little girl and I cherish the time we had together one-on-one. I love her so much and can't wait to watch these two kids grow together in friendship and love.
Matt gave Abby a packet of temple pictures and of course she just loves to line them up wherever possible.
A favorite thing for her to do right now is "make a train". She lines up all the chairs she can gather around the house and then puts her favorite dolls and stuffed animals on them. She, of course, is the conductor and loves to say "Chug-a, chug-a, choo-choo!"

Amen! Hardest thing I've gone through since Ethan's birth. We had lots of tears (both me and Hailey) after he was born. Of course she loves him, but it rocks their world. Good for you for taking time out for her. And I will say, it has gotten better. Kids are resilient! Good luck and hang in there.
