Seven Years and Still Strong

I've heard some sources say that the seventh year of marriage is one of the hardest. And though it was a hard year, we still love each other! In fact, I might just love this man even more because he endured such a hard year with me.

We decided to take one last get-away before #2 enters our world. My only request? Somewhere cool and cozy. So we headed up to Brian Head Ski Resort (only about 1.5 hours north of home) after dropping Abby off at her cousin's house in Cedar City. At 10,000 feet above sea level (compared to St. George's 2,000), the weather was perfect! We even wore a jacket at night. You can't find an air conditioning unit anywhere so we enjoyed sleeping with the windows open and feeling that fresh mountain air. Although I think I came back with a head cold... oh well. It was all worth it.

Before heading out of Cedar, we just had to stop at Maggie Moo's Ice Cream for a taste of the Midwest. Next to Coldstone, this was our only real ice cream stop while living in Indiana. I'm so glad that Utah has finally caught on because I think it's even better than Coldstone! Then we hit ole KB gas station for some drinks and a four foot (at least) long piece of jerky! That thing lasted us for two days. It was called the Whipper Snacker... hmm I wonder why?!

For dinner that night, we ate at the Cedar Breaks Lodge. Good food and good convo. It was nice to not have any interruptions!

I was so excited to see that our room had a gas fireplace, however, it wouldn't turn on. Must be a seasonal thing.

Before we headed home, we stopped at a few places for some quick pics.

36 weeks 3 days prego!

Matt's happy he doesn't weigh more than me any longer... he was worried there for a bit.

View at Cedar Breaks... just a taste of Bryce Canyon

Hey andrea,
I haven't been to Maggie Moo's. I don't know if they have them here in South Bend. I'll have to check into it. It sounds familiar because of Utah. Anyway, you look so good pregnant. I can't believe you're only 4 weeks away! What part of Indi did you live in? I know I've asked you before, but I have a couple friends who were here with their hubbies for law school, and I can't keep it straight. I can't believe it's been seven years! That's crazy!
