Week with Sisters and MOM
My mom's 60th birthday was a couple of weeks ago and ALL SIX of her daughters had the privilege of celebrating it with her. Every year in May my mom's dad invites his family to Sun Valley, ID, and this year we took him up on that invite. But before we headed to Sun Valley, there were a few important stops to make. Of course my sisters from out-of-state have to go to Cafe Rio and then we headed to Pace's Dairy Ann. There's nothing like having good food in your belly while hanging out at Mom's and Dad's.
We took one 15-passenger van, one mini van, and my dad's extended cab truck on the trip just to fit everyone (seven kids, 9 grandkids all in car seats, three spouses, Rita, and my parents). Dad stayed behind with Matt and me for his Utah Bar swearing in so we missed out on some of the fun the first night. But overrall the trip was a blast and I hope we can do it again another year.
Not only am I lucky to have five sisters, but so lucky to have one of them as a super pro photographer. Thanks Jen for all the great pics! If you want to check more of the trip out, go to her blog at http://www.justamomwithacamera.blogspot.com/. She did a fabulous job and the trip would not have been complete without her.
A and Jen at Pace's... we got yummy fresh lime rickey's with vanilla ice cream.
Abby and her cousin Izzy (Jen's youngest and one of Abby's favs)
Mom's 60th birthday cake that Camille - our own Martha Stewart - made. Delicious!
While in Sun Valley, we enjoyed swimming, walking around to all the gift shops, hanging out and staying up late talking in the cozy condos, eating lots of good food, etc.
On our last day of the trip, brother Tom (another fabulous photographer and videographer) took pics of all six of his sisters. Sun Valley was the perfect place to shoot because of all the great buildings, colors, and simply just the memories we have of going there since we were kiddos.
