Berenstain Bears
Lately we've just been putting Abby down in her "big girl bed" without reading goodnight stories or waiting until she falls asleep. The other night I could hear her whispering in her room and peeked in to find that she had gotten off her bed to handpick a few books to read. To my delight, she picked my all-time favorite: The Berenstain Bears by Stan and Jan Berenstain. I have many memories reading these books at night while sharing a room with Ashley. Together, we collected almost the entire series. Christmases, birthdays, you name it. We were always waiting for the next one to come out. Mom let me take a few of my old ones home with me and now my kin seems to enjoy them (almost) as much as I did.

Oh Ang...great times! McKay loves loves loves Bernstain Bears, in fact he always has me read Brother Bear as McKay and Sister Bear as Ruby. His favorites are Week at Grandma's and No girls Allowed! He knows that Abby has the other half of the collection too. Maybe we could swap at Christmas.
