Zion's with Spencer's
Saturday was quite the spontaneous one. Kathryn called and asked if we'd like to join her family for a quick trip to Zion's. Can you believe I have actually never been to the park? So it was pretty cool to see. We rode the shuttle up a ways and hiked to Emerald Pools and Weeping Rock. The water level is a bit low at this time of year, but still really cool... (temperature as well). It could not have been a more perfect-weather day. Blue skies, warm at the base of the hike and cool up top.
After all the hiking, we all went to dinner at Outback with Lynn's old boss who he still keeps in touch with. Delicious of course - we were all starving from a long day. Thanks Spencer's and KB for a fun day/night. Lets do it again!

Thank you for the invite to your blog! I was at my sister's house and she showed me your blog and I thought it would be fun to keep in touch a little. I haven't seen you forever! You are still so pretty and your little girl is just darling. Do you live in St. George? I have a sister in law that just moved there a few months ago. I enjoyed reading about the new baby that was named after great grandma Hattie. My mom always suggests that we use that name. She just adored her grandma. She must have been a really neat lady. Thanks for the invite. I've been patiently waiting to blog stalk you. Where are you living? I tried to go through your past blogs to see, but all I found was that you live in Washington. I figured it was St. George area, from all the pictures. Jon, my husband, his mom lives in Central, which is just outside of St. George. We go down every once in a while. We'll have to get together sometime. (if that's where you live) Anyway, you are beautiful, as always and your little girl looks just like you. You look like you're having so much fun! Hope to see you sometime soon.
Hey Ang, it's been a few days since I checked your blog and a lot has happened! Congrats to Matt on passing the bar! Such a relief I'm sure. Happy birthday to little Abby...what a sweetie! It was so fun to see you both when you were here. And, I'm glad you finally got to see Zions...it really is a cool place and a must see. Can't wait to see you again!
The pictures of Zion are awesome. I have many memories of past vacations with the family, trips with student government and hikes with friends and family.
We'll have to do an overnight backpacking hike. When Christian was almost one year old, we hiked the West Rim Trail overnight with the siblings/spouses and mom and dad. (Matt was on his mission.) Angels Landing is towards the end of the hike and Kelly and I went out to see the view. Wow.
Good times. Wish we could be there with you all.
