Thanksgiving!
Wow, it's been forever since I've blogged. Sorry to all you who actually enjoy viewing the Ekins Express. The bummer is I left my camera at my cousin's house on Thanksgiving so I wasn't able to capture our fun holiday weekend.
Here's some stuff we did:
1. Met with friends for pie the night before Thanksgiving so that we could truly enjoy the taste of pumpkin when our bellies weren't full with all the other stuff.
2. Played Ultimate Frisbee before we endulged in a 3500 calorie meal.
3. Had a delicious traditional Thanksgiving meal at the Heiner Home. Thanks John and Mel and John's family for allowing us to join with you for one of the best days of the year! Loved the candied yams, fresh rolls, celery and cheese, and the whole nine yards!
4. Went to the new movie "Enchanted" with Dr. McDreamy. If you haven't seen it yet, go this weekend. I loved it. But then again, I love fairytales. It's a great mix of fake believes and real. The men even had a few good laughs. Ahhh... nothing like a movie on Thanksgiving with a big tub of extra buttered popcorn. I got the popcorn for Abby of course. :)
5. Played basketball at the church.
6. Played cards and ate more food with good friends. "Hand and Foot" - our personal favorite.
7. Played basketball at the church again.... even with a guy that once played for the U of U. Yep, he was on my team.
8. Went to the state high school football championship game with our good friend Kristin. Our Pike Red Devils lost, but it was a fun experience in The Dome.
9. Watched lots of the NFL with more food and yummy treats. I love Fall and everything about it. The sports, the clothes, and of course... the food.
10. Listened to Matt give a great talk in church on "Gratitude" and being reminded of what's most important.
